Canada’s Largest Video Game Summit Doubles in Size, Draws Leaders from 25+ Countries
The Montréal International Game Summit (MIGS) is back this November, and it’s bigger than ever. On November 11–12, 2025, the Grand Quay in Montréal’s Old Port will transform into a global crossroads for the gaming industry, welcoming developers, indies, publishers, investors, and service providers from over 25 countries.
Expanding to 54,000 square feet across two levels, MIGS 2025 has doubled its footprint compared to last year, underlining Montréal’s reputation as one of the most important international hubs for video game creation and business. With more delegates, more stages, and more global participation than ever before, this year’s MIGS isn’t just an event—it’s a statement.
Montréal: North America’s Gateway for Global Gaming
For centuries, the Saint Lawrence River served as the gateway to North America. Today, Montréal continues that legacy by opening its doors to the world’s game makers.
“MIGS now carries that legacy forward as a gateway to the North American video game industry”
Jean-Jacques Hermans, Executive Director of La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec.
This year, MIGS doubles down on its international role: more than 40% of invited speakers hail from outside Canada, representing powerhouse studios and publishers from Sweden, Denmark, the U.S., Poland, Switzerland, and China. Speakers include leaders from Arrowhead (Helldivers II), Keywords Studios, Savvy Games (Monopoly GO), Sandfall Interactive (Clair Obscur: Expedition 33), and 11 bit studios (Frostpunk). They’ll be joined by Canadian companies including Playstack, publisher of the breakout hit Balatro.
Expanded Programming: Four Stages, Four Perspectives
With demand for deeper content, MIGS 2025 has expanded from a single stage to four, each delivering targeted programming.
One highlight: the MIGS Audio Summit presented by Audiokinetic, celebrating the company’s 25th anniversary and featuring the globally renowned Wwise Tour.
Other stages will tackle external development, business and publishing, production strategies, and cutting-edge technologies like AI and cloud pipelines. Whether you’re an indie developer or a AAA executive, MIGS offers programming built to address the challenges (and opportunities) of today’s rapidly evolving market.
The External Development Hub: A Deal-Making Powerhouse
Montréal’s unique position between Europe and North America makes it a natural bridge for global partnerships. MIGS 2025 leverages that advantage through the ExDev Hub presented by Game Caviar, connecting over 200 buyers with Game Caviar’s worldwide network of 1,400 service providers.

“External development drives so many of the partnerships that move our industry forward,” says Jason Smith, Founder of Game Caviar. “The ExDev Hub at MIGS 2025 further expands and builds on Montréal’s role as a central hub for external development in North America.”
For executives seeking new partnerships, reliable outsourcing solutions, or co-development opportunities, the ExDev Hub is one of the strongest reasons to attend.
