About TechBomb
Who are we?
TechBomb was created with one purpose in mind: to highlight and share interesting stories, news, press releases and information about Canada’s burgeoning technology sector.
In a world race to the bottom of clickbait headlines, and a media landscape that has seen many of Canada’s brightest writers and journalists lose their livelihood, we wanted to create a place where writing could thrive. We work with tech writers, public affairs specialists, public relations writers, and journalists who have a story to tell.
For technology companies, the public relations model is largely broken. Copious amounts of money are spent releasing innovation news and ideas on the hopes that their investment in technology and employees gets noticed. It mostly doesn’t get noticed by the large press organizations.
TechBomb.ca to date has not taken any money from advertising or been paid by any organization to write the news. Our sources are publicly available, stated clearly within the content, or publicly available from news wire services. Sometime we dig deeper. We want to see Canada’s ingenuity spotlighted and we want to call out government news (non-partisan) that is moving Canada forward on the world stage.
We also want to bring a part of journalism back that is missing. A place to share content. Our stories are being read by thousands daily and that makes us happy.
