Bell and Honda Canada Partner to Give 3 Month Free Data Hotspot Trial for New Customers

Bell and Honda Canada today announced that new Honda and Acura vehicles are now equipped with built-in Wi-Fi hotspots that enable drivers and their passengers to stay fully connected online, safely and hands-free, while on the open road. The trial will last for 3 months or 3 GB and then you will need to purchase a data plan or take advantage of shared data on your Bell Mobility package for an additional $10 per month on your existing Bell shared data package price.

“Like many consumers, Honda and Acura customers are looking for more convenient ways to stay connected, and our in-car Wi-Fi Hotspot powered by Bell provides the fast and reliable mobile connections they expect. Our vehicles come fully equipped with the features and accessories you need to safely access the information you need on the go.

Dave Jamieson, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Honda Canada

The partnership between Bell and Honda Canada is an extension of AT&T’s long-standing connected car relationship with both Honda and Bell.

“Bell looks forward to continuing to enhance the in-car experience by leveraging the capabilities of our LTE network, Canada’s largest with broadband coverage for 99 percent of the national population.”

Nauby Jacob, Senior Vice President, Products and Services at Bell Mobility

Wi-Fi connectivity in your vehicle is becoming more common place as consumers expect to be connected everywhere at all times. Tesla currently offers unlimited Data connection via their Premium Connectivity subscriptions for $13.99 per month in North America after a full year free trial, however if you were lucky enough to purchase a 2018 or previous model you will receive the Premium Connectivity subscription for the lifetime of the vehicle.
