The MEGAMIGS 2022 games conference in Montreal Quebec is returning for content creators, game makers, and industry folks from across the province and world to network. Access to all exhibitors’ games, exhibitors’ discovery showcases, free activities for all, technical conferences, business development, and many other surprises await!
Montreal’s premium game conference returns on October 19 – 22, 2022 to Hôtel Bonaventure. Programming will include four summits covering topics that will address several current issues. Taking place on October 18th, each of the summits will be composed of conferences, panels, workshops, discussions and case studies. All will be followed by a networking event at the end of the day.
INSPIRING TOPICS
The first theme to be discussed will be Academia / R&D. In this summit, topics such as AI as a source of inspiration and artistic creation, USD, Omniverse, innovation in video game research, R&D culture, and many more will be discussed.
The second summit will address the topic of Audio. Subjects such as audio accessibility in games, marginalized genders’ place within the audio industry, music editing for interactive media, will be discussed, to name a few.
The last theme discussed will be Indie studios, Publishing and Investments. In this summit, discover topics such as the essentials for building a good business plan, pitfalls to avoid in publishing, the relationship between publisher-developer in the marketing phase.
And that’s not all, the day will be closed by the VIP cocktail, presented by EA Motive.

How long after the event will the conferences be accessible?
The videos are usually made available 4 to 6 month following the end of the event on MEGAMIGS’ respective Youtube channels.
Which language will the activities take place in?
The vast majority of conferences are held in English, but the general admission activities tend to be in both French and English.
Is the event adapted for younger ones?
MEGAMIGS welcomes everyone, younger and older. Kids of 12 and under can attend for free as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
Please note that some games presented during the event might still require parental guidance.
Is the event accessible for folks with limited mobility?
Yes, the event is fully accessible to wheel chairs and has a number of spaces to allow visitors to sit. Some calmer spaces are also made available for those wanting a bit of quiet. Please reach out to us if you have specific needs or would require a different kind of assistance.
