AMD announces RDNA 2 RX 6700 XT Graphics Technology

Gamers are about to benefit from AMD’s latest technology in graphics technology. In a live broadcast Wednesday Feb 3rd, Corporate Vice President & General Manager, Graphics Business Unit, Scott Herkelman introduced the newest graphics card powered by the RDNA 2 architecture.

RDNA 2 will have 65% more performance per WATT. Built to allow maximum settings at 4k. AMD RDNA2 GPU Chip is designed to excel 1440P resolution for the fastest monitor growth segment in the computer display business.

Each RX 6700XT benefits from thermal GPU cooling featuring custom designed dual axial fans meant to deliver a noise reduction of up to 50% over previous version. The 12GB GDDR6, PCIe 4.0 boards support Displayport 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 for increased refresh relay.

Performance wise these cards are a beast on 1440p.

For Gaming Performance expect it to handle the most demanding titles vs previous generation cards

In comparison to current competitors the stats look pretty good too across the board.

Ray Tracing Support will be available on titles like Call of Duty Cold War, Minecraft, Dirt 5 and The Riftbreaker. AMD also says that their FidelityFX technology will bring high performance DX12 to improve quality on over 40 games including the new Resident Evil : Village to be released May 7th 2021.
